Welcome back!

Welcoming myself back to the blogging world!  I blogged for a couple of years after my daughter, Tori, was born, and at first it was a way to update friends and family on her progress as she was in the hospital.  It then became a great outlet for me to put my thoughts, feelings and things the Lord was teaching me on "paper."  I then met SO many people through blogging that had heard her story, and were a great source of encouragement to me, and us to them as well.  I was privileged enough to even meet several of the ladies I kept up with on their blogs, and them on mine.  It was a neat experience for sure!  I continued to blog for awhile after her death, as I worked through feelings of grief, as writing was a good outlet for me.  Then life got in the way, and I became too "busy" to journal regularly.  We then had Miss Scarlet, and have now moved to south Alabama and "started fresh," if you will.  So, I feel like in a way, things have been a whirlwind since I started blogging 4.5 years ago.  I had been wanting to start back for awhile, but never took the time to do so until now.  I want to share with you what I want to make this blog about...

I can't promise that it will be anything glamorous, but I've always loved to write, and wanted to do so in a different way this time.  When I think about life, many words come to mind, but a few like fleeting, short, and temporary home come to mind.  This is indeed my temporary home!  One day I will be in heaven, my eternal home, with my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  Until then, I want to make the most of this temporary home here on earth and live victoriously.  I don't want to be defeated, bogged down, missing out, or a slave to the world!  Does that mean I'm perfect?  Not at all.  I just have the desire within my heart to fulfill the purpose He has for me, and as I mess up and make mistakes, I want to learn from them and grow as a person, a Christian, a wife, a mother, etc.

So as you read in the days ahead, I may share what is on my mind; what the Lord has been teaching me; things that are going on in my life; how I'm feeling; any number of things!  If you don't want to read, that's okay, too.  :)  This is mostly for me, to put things on "paper," as I love to write, and have since we started creative writing in school! :)  If you do want to read in the days ahead, I encourage you to comment as much as you can!  I would LOVE to hear YOUR perspective and how you feel on some of the things I share.  Let's "do life together," edifying and building each other up, sharing as we learn and grow in this temporary home!  Be blessed, friends!!!
